The Topics, one of San Pedro’s most popular bands, was started in 1964 by leader, John Doyle. Their longevity is considered by many in town a unique human interest story – one of life-time friends, family support and a timeless love of classic music.
The Topics have a classic repertoire that spans the decades and includes music reaching well back into the 50s. Their special vocal harmonies and Latin rhythms are well known in San Pedro for providing all a chance to reminisce, dance and sing along to the music we grew up with and still love.
Over the years the Topics band has entertained at numerous weddings, car shows, nightclubs, special events and parties of all varieties and locales throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, Catalina Island and Laughlin, Nevada.
