It’s said that beautiful things come in small packages. Never has this phrase been more appropriate than in speaking Of Cynthia Manley. To see her perform is to be astonished at what you are experiencing. This petite, sexy, and gorgeous performer can at once steal your heart and rock you all night long. Her smile lights up the entire room, but you feel it’s just for you. She’ll send a shiver down your spine, causing what Quincy Jones so aptly described as "truth marks".
From Elvis to Bonnie Raitt, "blue-eyed soul" has traditionally been one of the most successful formats for pop music. Brilliantly, Cynthia carries on this tradition. She cites as influences Aretha Franklin, Janice Joplin, and Tina Turner. One need only to see and hear her perform to understand why she has achieved three Billboard charted records. These include: "Ain’t No Mountain High Enough", "Back In My Arms" and "Chain Reaction". Her cover of Sly Stone’s, "Stand" and the accompanying video were played world-wide to critical acclaim. (Medium rotation VH1)
These successes led her to be named one of the Top Twenty Artists of the Year by Billboard Magazine and culminated in her being one of only ten artists invited to perform at the International New Music Seminar in N.Y.C.. Cynthia loves to sing and the only thing she does better is perform. She has entertained audiences to standing ovations in China, The Middle East, Japan, European Military Tours, and throughout the United States.
